The X Factor reject, 17, had flow to the US to start recording her first album, yet she immediately got people’s backs up with her diva attitude.
The wannabe has refused to take advice from producers and instead snapped: “I know what i’m doing and Simon Cowell is totally behind me.”
Cher has even been telling pals that she will ‘outsell’ Cheryl – who was her mentor on the X Factor – when her first single is released.
A source tells us: “Cher is acting like she is already the biggest star on the planet. She is out of control and she’s becoming more arrogant by the day.”
During last years series of the X Factor, reports of Cher throwing diva tantrums backstage were rife. Even Simon Cowell himself made a statement that she was a diva.
At a secret gig in London, Cher was heard moaning: “Why do people always pick on me? I’m no diva,” before she stormed off in a strop…
Cher from Malvern in Worcestshire, came fourth in the TV competition, but she is still hoping to make it as a pop star in both the UK and across the pond. She has been busy working in the recording studio and has even spent time with US rapper Lil Wayne, and influential blogger Perez Hilton.
But although she wants to make a name for herself stateside, it seem Cher is doing it all for the wrong reasons.
The sources added: “Cher has been acting like she has a divine right to stardom. She thinks that everyone should be working for her, but Americans do not take kindly to that – they can’t wait to get rid of her.
“Cher doesn’t listen to orders and she thinks she has all the answers. She’s totally out of line.”
